American FlagFor those of you planning the perfect 4th of July celebration, Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan and Orange Beach are here to help.

Kicking the weekend off early, The Wharf in Orange Beach will begin its multi-day fireworks extravaganza on Saturday, July 2nd.  For three days (July 2, 3, 4) The Wharf will be putting on, what they hope to be, the “biggest set of shows this island has ever seen.”  The shows begin at 9 p.m. each night and will be accompanied by Patriotic music to help celebrate this exciting event.

On July 3rd, from 6-9:30 pm, Perdido Beach Resort is also starting the celebrations early by hosting one huge Independence Day party.  They will be serving Southern-style barbecue, have live music from the Tip Tops (Jazz/Soul/Rockers from Mobile), and of course, Fireworks!

The fun on July 4th begins bright and early at Fort Morgan’s Artillery Salute to American Independence.  This celebration of our nation’s birthday will be exemplified by the ceremonial cannon blast and guided tours of the Fort will take place [Read more...]

If you are a fishing fanatic, and looking to be a part of something HUGE, then you will not want to miss the 78th annual Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo (ADSFR) right out of Dauphin Island.

For years the ADSFR has claimed to be both the oldest and largest organized saltwater fishing tournament in the world, but this year, they are looking to make that claim official.  The Guinness Book of World Records will be on-site to account for all participants and see if they can officially put Dauphin Island in the Record Book.  Rodeo officials are expecting an even larger turnout than the recent 3,100 anglers at past years’ event (the 2010 tournament was cancelled), and with over 30 categories and $400,000 in cash and prizes, [Read more...]

Summer is by far our favorite time of year here at Kaiser Realty, for one simple reason, the beach.

There is just something about the allure of the ocean, the grains of sand clinging to your feet and the sweet smell of the Gulf breeze surrounding you. Yep, you just can’t beat the beach.

When it comes to those days spent away from the dunes, however, things have a tendency to get a little more hectic. With no school to occupy the kiddos, summer can also mean a stressful three months for parents.  Luckily, we have some rockin’ summer camps in the area to keep the children in your life busy, happy and most importantly, learning!

For those of you in the Mobile area, The Exploreum might just be the answer to your every wish.  They have weekly camps starting on June 6th and running every week until July 29th.  They are offering camps for everyone from 4 year-olds all the way to 12th grade students and everyone in between.  The Exploreum is also offering a wide variety of different camps.  Your little ones can spend their time learning about the weather during the “Wonders of the Weather” camp, learn some nutritional advice during “You Are What You Eat,” learn about [Read more...]
