The Kaiser Realty Team Joins Hands to Keep the Beaches Clean

On September 15th, the Kaiser Realty team joined forces with more than 60,000 other beach lovers to help keep the white sand beaches of the Alabama Gulf Coast clean and beautiful during the 2012 Coastal Cleanup. Working in Orange Beach, team members set off from the Nordic Villas community and worked their way to the beautifully gated subdivision of Beachside Romar. Picking up trash and removing relics of vacations passed from the approximately 1 mile stretch of beach, the Kaiser team was able to grab items such as beach chairs, toys and other unwanted goods that had accumulated along the stretch of sandy coastline.

The Coastal Cleanup continues to be a strong, community focused event aimed at maintaining the beaches following the busy summer season. This particular stretch of beach is very special to the Kaiser Realty team because hundreds of families enjoy this very area each and every year with stays in both the Nordic Villas and the Beachside Romar subdivisions.

NOAA Fisheries Service extends red snapper season in the Gulf of Mexico through July 16

GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH, ALA. – 7/2/2012 - Landing massive red snappers will now be possible for families visiting the Alabama Gulf Coast in mid-July thanks to NOAA Fisheries Service’s extension of the season through July 16. NOAA evaluated the first 26 days of the 2012 recreational red snapper fishing season and determined that extended severe weather, including Tropical Storm Debby, resulted in numerous lost fishing days for the north-central Gulf of Mexico where a substantial portion of this harvest occurs.

“These extra six days are an opportunity for our guests to enjoy one of the world’s best red snapper fisheries,” said Herb Malone, president/CEO of Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism (CVB). “Adding to the options for our families is the opening of grouper season on July 1 alongside many other ongoing seasons. Our state boasts the nation’s largest artificial reef program just off our shores, and the smiles of charter boat guests returning to dock show the evidence of our bountiful fishery and the lifelong memories created.”

Echoing similar thoughts, Tom Steber, president of the Orange Beach Fishing Association said that “this extension will help local captains re-coop the June days lost to weather, and they are thrilled to have six more days to show guests how many hungry red snapper are in our Gulf waters. Then, take the freshly caught snapper and other fish to the local restaurants with hook-and-cook menu options and put an exclamation mark on an excellent Orange Beach fishing trip.”

Kick off your Summer Fun with the Inaugural “Beach Games” in Gulf Shores

The Coast 360 "Beach Olympics" kick off on June 14th at the Gulf Shores Public Beach at 11:00 a.m. Our friends at Coast 360, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach’s premier broadcast channel, kick off their inaugural “Beach Games” series this Thursday, June 14^th, at 11:00 a.m. behind lifeguard stand #4 at the Gulf Shores Public Beach. Featuring kid friendly games such as the “Hula Hoopla, Low Tide Slide, Bucket Ruckus, Seafood Scramble and Fish in a Barrel,” participants have the opportunity to win fun beach prizes such as beach balls, t-shirts, medals and even coupons from local businesses!

Jones’ Daily Beach Photos Help to Unite a Community

It is said “that a picture is worth a thousand words” … Learn how one of Kaiser Realty’s own has embraced this and created millions of words of longing, peace, heartbreak, inspiration, laughter but most of all TRUTH.

When the 2010 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill occurred, citizens along the Gulf Coast immediately began to wonder how the event would forever change their lives. As it became more and more apparent the oil would indeed reach the sugar white sand beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, city officials began to brainstorm about how to handle the situation to ensure our cleanup process could be expeditious and carried out diligently.

Kaiser Realty, Inc. Director of Sales / Gulf Shores City Councilman, Steve Jones, decided that he needed to do what he could to preserve the integrity of the area as well as provide a service to beach lovers nationwide.
