We had stayed in the Tidewater before but this unit was more pleasing to the eye. The decor was nice and of course the view was fabulous. We will definitely stay here again when it is just the two of us.

Small but clean and functional unit. Excellent view. But worst mattress we have ever slept on

Overall a really great experience. I usually visit the Florida-Alabama coast 2-3 times a year, and I almost always book last minute for a long weekend stay. This was one of the only affordable, beach front, one bedroom condos available - so I snatched it up without much research. The property was just as the pictures showed - clean, beachy, small and quaint. The view was fantastic from the 6th floor, and it's right near the elevator, so you don't have to haul your luggage and ice chests far at all - very nice! I am used to condos having cookware and dishes, etc. provided, but this unit really has it stocked! Blender, toaster, two different sets of dishes and flatware, wine glasses, pitchers, tons of pots and pans... really it has everything you could want. The only things "bad" I could say about the place is that the queen size bed was really loud and not extremely comfortable. The ceiling fan, albeit a nice amenity, was really loud too. Not really a big deal, we were so exhaousted at night after being in the sun all day, we slept good anyway. The Tidewater is a really nice, quiet building. It is located right in the between Gulf Shores and the Florida line, so you can really go either way for entertainment. There are a few restaurants right down the street, and lots of beach shops. Kaiser Realty made the whole process really easy. I payed over the phone and got directions from a really nice and knowledgable rep. You have to pick up your check-in packet from the Kaiser office, which was on the way for us anyway, but you don't have to check in the property when you arrive. Just go on up to your room! That was really nice. No room keys to worry about either - just a code you punch in the keypad on the door. i would definitely return to the Tidewater, and I will also book through Kaiser again if I can. Unit 604 was nice, but I might try another unit next time just to see what else they have to offer.

The whole process was just to easy. From booking the room to checking in and checking out. We didn't get in town until 10pm. Stopped by the office put a code in walked inside they had my packet ready for us. Then the room itself was very nice and clean. It had a great view off the balcony and all the amenities you could ask for. Will definitely use them and this room again if available. It was a mile from Florida and not too far from the outlets which was perfect for her.

I hope that you have read the detailed report that I left with you when the keys were returned. Unit 604 is in pretty sad shape and certainly should not have been rated or charged as a "superior" unit. Most of the issues are small, but when looked at in total, unit 604 is over-rated. The front door dead-bolt locks don't work. The door to the washer/dryer is off the track. The dryer has only one heat level. High ! Most of the lamps have loose shades or are damaged. No radio in the entire unit. No clock other than a small clock radio in bedroom. Bedroom is too small for bed. Sink cannot be totally cleaned. Looks dirty. Overall, unit 604 was disappointing. Will not be staying in it again. All Kaiser people were very nice. No problem there.
