Colonnades was nice and I felt 1601 was nice as well. Great view. Kaiser realty was easy for check in and allowed us to park our 3rd car at their building since the condo only allowed 2 car passes. The only 1 issue I can think of was not quite enough towels/wash cloths for everyone without having to wash them everyday.

Colonnades is a lovely, low-density building in a great location. 1601 is a beautiful east-exposure condo on the 16th floor. We have stayed in condos in this market regularly over the last 11 years so we have a feel for it. The decorating and furniture in this unit is clearly set up for an older occupant that isn't going to move around much. I'm only 60 and felt pretty closed in by old-fashioned, huge furniture, fixtures and draperies. Additionally, we encountered significant deferred maintenance. We have worked with Kaiser Realty on a number of other trips and I'm pretty confident their hands were tied. While I reported at least 6 deficiencies in the month I was there, response was very poor, and then came from an outside contractor instead of Kaiser's people. I'm fairly comfortable thinking this was the owner's, not Kaiser's choice. The property is for sale (several showings in our month there), has been price-reduced to significantly less than comparable units. It 'feels' like the owner(s) have lost interest. I would stay in a Kaiser property again without hesitance, I would stay in another unit at the Colonnades but I would never select this unit again without significant changes.
