This beautiful Gulf-front beach home is nestled among the sugar white sands of Fort Morgan. Off the beaten path between the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay, the Fort Morgan Peninsula offers privacy, but easy access to area attractions. Southern Exposure is located within Gulf Shores Plantation and is approximately 12 miles west of Gulf Shores. It is also located near Kiva Dunes Golf Course.
Southern Exposure is a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom home and has two levels. This house has Gulf-side open and covered decks and a carport underneath. It also offers access to multiple swimming pools, and tennis courts. The first floor features a large kitchen, dining room, living room, a full-size bathroom located in the hallway and one bedroom. This bedroom, located on the northeast side of the house, offers a queen-size bed and a private full-size bathroom. The second floor features the three remaining bedrooms.
The large master suite includes a king-size bed and a large private bathroom with a whirlpool tub, large walk-in closet and a private Gulf-side balcony. The other two bedrooms are located on the east side. One bedroom features a queen-size bed, while the other bedroom offers two twin beds. The northwest side of the upstairs area offers a small sitting room with a TV and a sofa/sofa sleeper combination. A full-size bathroom is located in the upstairs hallway.

The location is great if you want to be away from the crowds for most of your time. Being part of the Plantation means you get indoor pool, gym, tennis courts, etc. which is great. The house is very spacious and easy to keep clean. Unfortunately, there were a number of small things that added up to make me not want to rent here again given the price. Master shower door will not stay on track Bare exposed bulb on living room fan Cheap deck furniture Cheap bedding Poor/outdated wi-fi transmitter Grills found in outside "closet" were both covered in mold (ugh!) Complete lack of supplies (we had to run into town immediately to buy foil, dish soap, baggies, paper towels - typically we are used to these being around and we buy and leave any replacements) TV in living room did not work and it is a tiny, old, tube-type set. Did we come here to watch TV? No! But, if it is provided it should work (we called Kaiser and repairman came immediately). It was also the start of March Madness and we wanted to see our team play. Kids wanted to watch a movie and DVD player was not connected. Again, little things but they add up. Given the rates charged for rent I think the owners need to invest in some updates. Kaiser's service and overall cleanliness were great.
