Skane (skoo - nee) is a Gulf-front home located in the Nordic Villas community on Romar Beach, approximately 4.8 miles east of Highway 59 in Orange Beach. This beautiful home is three stories with multiple decks, and offers two living areas, two master suites with whirlpool tubs, two laundry facilities, and additional kitchen amenities.
The main entrance steps on the north side of Skane open to the landing between the ground and main living levels. On the ground level, the living area on the beach side features a sleeper sofa and a kitchenette with a sink, full-size refrigerator, ice machine and basic appliances. The southwest king bedroom has private access to the deck and beach, and private access to the common full bath with shower. The northwest bedroom has two twin/twin bunks; this room shares the common bath by utilizing the hall entrance. This level has a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer.
The main level of Skane has a great-room incorporating the living and dining areas, and a spacious kitchen, all of which look out on the Gulf of Mexico. Windows allow natural light and doors offer access to the outside deck that spans the width of this south side. For convenience, there is a wet bar on the north side of the living area with a second ice machine. There are two bedrooms on this level. The northwest bedroom has a king bed with a private full bath with a tub/shower combination. The northeast bedroom has two twin beds with private access to the common full bath with a tub/shower combination.
This bath is also accessed from the hallway.
The third level of Skane features two spacious Gulf-front master suites each with king beds and private access to the outside balcony. These well-appointed rooms are each accompanied by private full baths featuring whirlpool tubs, separate showers and double vanity sinks. The third and fourth bedrooms on this level, on the northeast and northwest, each have king beds. Both bedrooms have private full baths with tub/shower combinations. A small morning kitchen is centrally located on this level, as well as an additional laundry facility with a stacked washer/dryer. Skane has tile and carpet throughout and is non-smoking.
The Nordic Villas common area includes two shared swimming pools located on the north side of the complex with large sundecks, tables, chairs and chaises. There are three barbeque grill areas, each with two grills, two additional large parking lots, and boardwalks leading to the beach from each house.

This is the perfect house for our family, and we all look forward every July 4th week to being together. The accommodations are nice but some of the bedding could be updated a little bit - they are becoming a little worn with time. We love being in a house where we can all walk out on the beach, and the children can play right out in the yard. It's also a plus to have the pool to alternate with the beach.

The beautiful home of Skane was the perfect setting for our son's wedding. The home was spacious enough to accommadate our 50 guests. The two large balaconies with swing let us enjoy visiting after the wedding with our friends. When preparing for the wedding the florist used the small kitchen area on the bottom floor and the food was stored there. I would highly recommend this property for your family or your special event.

The Skane is a fantastic property for big gatherings and perfect for our needs. Only complaint is that the property is in need of updating and regular maintenance. Simple issues like the toilet paper holder falling off the wall, and a toilet handle breaking, also the doors going to the patio were difficult to open and close. For the cost of this property, these were simple things that should not have happened. Also termites were swarming outside and also inside the the property, which really freaked the kids out. Must be noted that the property did respond quickly on this issue.
