My son was getting married in Gulf Shores...I wanted to rent a house that could sleep at least 10. We needed plenty of rooms and lots of parking...Sandy Top wasn't the original house that I rented but because I didn't need the house for 7 nights Sat. to Sat. the owner decided he didn't want to rent it. I had already put down a deposit so Kaiser Realty kindly found another house that we could rent for 4 nights (Wed.-Sun.) they offered Sandy Top...which I appreciated and accepted. Sandy Top is huge! There are plenty of beds and bathrooms and it is right on the beach plus it had a lot of parking...It is very convenient to all the activites that Gulf Shores offers but...The pictures of the Sandy Top online looked nice so I was a little in shock when we walked in and the walls were dirty and floors were nasty. There were holes in a couple of the doors. Broken glass was outside the main door on the bottom floor in the carport area (which was the way you went out to the beach) The living room furniture was dirty and some stuffing sticking out on the chair. One of the dining table chairs were broke... You could definitely tell that Spring Breakers had been there and made their mark. There were beer bottle caps in the disposal which means someone (Me) had to stick their hand down in the disposal to get them out. The loft area was hard to cool off...The only other complaint that I have is the Wi-Fi had a weak signal the entire time we were there. On the positive side...the beach was great as was the view from Sandy Top. Good surf fishing...Beach wasn't crowded.

We had a wonderful time and the house was exactly as advertised. We had 2 families which was a party of 9 and there was even plenty of seating in the den for us to watch a movie together and we were all able to sit at the table together for meals. It was clean and very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. There were 2 double beds and a bunk bed upstairs with a bathroom which the kids loved. There is a TV in every bedroom and a TV with a DVD player in the den. The kitchen had most everything we needed but I did bring my favorite chopping knife, a stove top grill and a big non-stick pan because we ate several meals at the house. The view of the ocean was beautiful from the balcony and if we weren't down on the beach, we could still see what was going on there. There are a few beach chairs and toys available that you share with the other unit so that was a nice surprise. There are 2 flights of stairs to get to the unit and then circular stairs to get to the upstairs and loft so I would not recommend it for someone who has a hard time with their knees. We would definitely go back!!
