Unit 516a was average. It needs dark curtains in the br to cut down on the courtyard light. The sofa bed in the lr needs repair or replacing. The blinds on the east wall of the lr are in disrepair. Most importantly, I missed a step in the courtyard where there is a two step down to the pool and hot tub area. I fell and sufferd a gash to my forehead that required 7 stiches to close. Other tenants and the property manager aided my wife in assisting me in controlling the bleeding and getting me to our car and to urgent care. These good samaritans are to be commended for ther quick help. The facility does have railings on most other step areas. It is my strong suggestion that a railing ne installed by these two steps down to the pool area. Many people my age have cataracts, gloucoma, macular degeneration, or just plain failing eyesight. Prudence should be followed to help prevent other seniors from missing these steps as a railing is a reminder to be cautious. Would you please forward my suggestion in regards to a railing to the appropriate condo association body.

Our check in was easy and Kaiser Realty was able to accommodate us after our plans changed and we were able to add a day to our vacation. We were a little disappointed in the rooms overall cleanlines. The floors were not clean in spots and the pull out sofa still had dirty sheets on it. The pool was not clear and clean as I would have liked. Overall , the people were friendly and we enjoyed the location , it was quite and family friendly. We enjoyed the grill by the bay very much in the afternoons. The grounds were clean. The beach was fun with lots of sea shells and waves. Thank you for a nice 1st time stay in the Gulf Shores area , hope to visit again.
