In general we were pleased with Crystal Shores condos - our only issue was with the actual checkin and the lack of info in the "Welcome" bag - which had almost nothing in it that helped. We would have liked information or an actual diagram of the complex and info on using the lobby area (locked and a combination was needed). If we were not to be in there except for publicized events, that should have been listed somewhere. If not, then the combination should have been issued too. Gulf Shores has everything needed for an enjoyable relaxing time - at a much slower pace than some of the beach communities in Florida such as Ft. Myers area etc. Strongly advice anyone never having been to Crystal Shores to select a unit more to the middle (the condos near either end act as "tunnels" for the wind - the higher up, the more wind in those back door "tunnels".) Also I would select at least the 4th floor and up if we came again. It's deceiving to view online when booking a 4th floor at Crystal Shores the parking area is considered floor number one. (ex: at Cyrstal Shores WEST the 2nd floor is actually higher than the 4th floor at Crystal Shores. We would definitely go there again though -
