Can’t get enough of listening to great music on the sugar, white sand beaches of Alabama? Well don’t worry Flora-Bama has you covered.

Get ready for three days of sand, sun, and music at the 1st Annual Shindig on the Sand. The fun kicks off on June 14th and will last through June 16th. The event will feature over 200 musicians through out the three day festival.

Cost for the event will be $10 for a day pass or $25 for the entire weekend. Children 12 and under will be free.

Join us August 15-18 on the sugar,white sand beaches of Gulf Shores to welcome legendary coaches, enjoy concerts, and bask in all the glory of the SEC at the 2013 SEC BeachFest.

This four day fun-filled weekend will have something for all family members to participate in.  Saturday the 17th, there will be a 5k and a 1 mile fun run and on Sunday from 9AM to 11AM there will be a Kid’s Pier Fishing Tournament held on the State Park pier.

Legendary coaches, Heisman Trophy winners, and many more SEC celebrities will be making appearances through out the entire weekend, so make sure not to miss a snap!

The LuluMemorial Day weekend you can look forward to more than just a wonderful weekend on the beach with your family. The sinking of “The Lulu”, a 271-foot retired freighter, will be held over Memorial Day weekend on May 26th.

Festivities will kick off May 24th at Lulu’s at Homeport Marina.  ”The Lulu” will make a special stop by Lulu’s Restaurant to visit before continuing the journey out into The Gulf of Mexico. Anyone is welcome to join in on the sinking day, just hop on your boat and join us at the site, latitude/longitude coordinates: +29° 59′ 50″/-87° 33′ 00″,  where “The Lulu” will be put down.  She will be sunk in about 110 feet of water for marine life to call home and for divers of all kinds to explore.

The actual sinking of the ship will be at high noon on Sunday the 26th. A barge with on-lookers will also have the Wet Willie band on deck to do a free hour long concert for all patrons.

April 25th through the 28th, The Wharf’s Marina Lawn will be filled with hundreds of trailerable boats and every slip will be full to the brim with 110 plus in water displays of the newest and greatest in the marine industry. The kick off to the show start Thursday the 25th with an exclusive invitation only admission from 2pm until sunset. General Admission starts on Friday at 10am and closing at 7pm through Sunday the 28th.

Along with a wide variety of boats the festival will offer food, live music, and all the shopping you can handle. Admission to the show is only $5 and children 12 and under are free.

This spring-time event is going strong for the third year in a row.

The 2013 line-up consist of Grayson Capps on April 25th, Chubby Carrier and The Bayou Swamp Band on May 9th, and The Brandon Green Band closes out the 2013 edition of the Music at Meyer Park on June 6th.

This event is free to the public and starts at 6 p.m. each evening.
