Kaiser Realty, Inc. values our guests and their family’s safety, and we are continuing to follow the developments relating to Tropical Storm Isaac closely. Along with Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism and others throughout the Gulf Coast, we are monitoring the storm’s track via the National Hurricane Center. A hurricane warning has been issued for the northern Gulf Coast, including our area. This means hurricane conditions are possible within the next 48 hours.

Alabama’s Governor Robert Bentley issued a mandatory evacuation order effective  for Zone 1 of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach along with city mandated evacuations of the immediate low lying surrounding areas of Zone 2 in anticipation of Tropical Storm Isaac’s landfall on the northern Gulf Coast as a hurricane.

Beginning at 8:00 AM city officials have announced the closure of Highway 59 at Zoo Road and the intersection of Highway 182 (Beach Boulevard) and Highway 135. Once the closure is in effect, ALL ACCESS to areas south of Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo and west of Gulf State Park will be restricted, until further notice. Residents and businesses within the restricted area should begin making final preparations for evacuation and should be prepared to no longer have access to their property.

Sustained Tropical Storm force winds are expected in our area beginning in the early morning hours. Due to deteriorating weather conditions, Gulf Shores officials anticipate disruptions to gas and electric services.

Determining our information is from authentic, trusted, and reliable sources is key to ensuring our plans and responses are accurate to protect your vacation experience. First hand experiences across Alabama’s beaches today, indicate partly sunny skies and slight winds with rains developing later in the day. Kaiser Realty recommends all scheduled check-ins for today, Tues, Aug 28th and Wed, Aug 29th to postpone arrivals until Thurs, Aug 30th to ensure the inclement weather has passed and your property has been inspected by our diligent team.
