Gulf Shores/Orange Beach can be reached by traveling the Intracoastal Waterway. The Tennessee-Tombigbee links the Intracoastal Waterway to river ports in the Midwest, while the Gulf Waterway provides an East-West link to cities as far away as Key West, Florida, and Brownsville, Texas.
