Whatever mode of transportation you'll be using, traveling to Alabama's Gulf Coast is very convenient by vehicle, airplane, or boat.

By Interstate

Interstates 10 and 65 and U.S. Highway 98 connect to the modern and well-maintained Gulf Shores Parkway (Alabama Highway 59). Take Highway 59 South to Gulf Shores.
For Perdido Key and Orange Beach:
When Highway 59 South dead ends at the beach, take a left onto East Beach Boulevard and follow directly into Orange Beach (4 miles) and Perdido Key (9 miles).
For Fort Morgan:
Take Highway 59 South into Gulf Shores. Take a right onto Highway 182 (Fort Morgan Road) Follow directly into the Fort Morgan area.

By Plane

Major airlines serve both Pensacola, Florida, and Mobile, Alabama, both a one-hour drive from Gulf Shores. Transportation from either airport can be arranged through Mobile Bay Transportation by calling 1-800-272-6234. Private and corporate aircraft are served by Jack Edwards Airport in Gulf Shores. By Boat

Gulf Shores/Orange Beach can be reached by traveling the Intracoastal Waterway. The Tennessee-Tombigbee links the Intracoastal Waterway to river ports in the Midwest, while the Gulf Waterway provides an East-West link to cities as far away as Key West, Florida, and Brownsville, Texas.
